WE ARE OPEN

Follow the newsletters link to view our December 2020 update and pictures of horse riding and our volunteers day

Government Coronavirus/Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions together with the nearby River Colne overflowing its banks, flooding the site, caused the charity to close temporarily for nearly 7 months in 2020.

We have managed to keep all our animals which are very well cared for by our great team of staff and volunteers. They are so important to our many users who identify with individual animals.

The charity is now open providing a Covid-19 secure environment for our beneficiaries

Visits are pre-booked by email to: secretary@heathrowspecialneedscentre.org

Current activities: Horse Riding, Animal care and Management, Gardening, Horticulture, Low Level Maintenance, Work Experience.  The cafe remains temporarily closed.

The charity suffered and estimated financial shortfall of about £35,000 in 2020

As we start welcoming our beneficiaries back the charity's finances are stretched further and your support is need to enable the charity continuing to help improve the lives of people with disabilities and special needs.

SIDE WALKERS

WE NEED SIDE WALKERS FOR OUR RDA RIDING LESSONS. TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN BUT IF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF HORSES AND RIDING THAT WOULD BE USEFUL.

THIS ACTIVITY IS VERY POPULAR FOR OUR CLIENTS FROM 5 TO 70 YEARS OF AGE. IF WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SIDE WALKERS FOR EACH DAY THEN WE HAVE TO CANCEL SOME LESSONS AND DISAPPOINT OUR CLIENTS WHICH WE DO NOT LIKE TO DO. SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN OUR RIDING TEAM PLEASE EMAIL  secretary@heathrowspecialneedscentre.org FOR MORE INFORMATION. WE WOULD REALLY LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
