We are looking to recruit Saturday morning volunteers to help with horse riding. No experience needed but must be comfortable with large animals  Have to be a minimum of 16 years of age. Good fun and a rewarding experience working as part of a small team enabling people with disabilities and special needs take part in this popular activity. We are open for people from 5 years of age with all kinds of disabilities and special needs including those with multiple and profound learning disabilities, physical and mental disabilities,those recovering from stroke or other serious ailments, the elderly and those affected by dementia  We welcome disabilty groups, care homes, day centres, schools and individuals

 

Activities tailored to individual needs with proven and measurable benefits 

Horse Riding : Mornings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Riding slots are available

Animal care and welfare: Help to look after our 75+ animals

Gardening and horticulture. Grow vegetables, fruit and plants 

Work experience:  Helping people with disabilities and special needs who are looking to enter the work place

Cedar Tea Room: Serves a wide selection of inexpensive hot and cold food, snacks and drinks

 

Volunteering Opportunities:

Able bodied people to help our users particularly with horse riding  and animal care (no experience needed)

Experienced riders to exercise our horses

Work  experience placements for those starting a career, particularly useful for social care and disability

Saturday's open only for pre booked horse riding

Horse Riding: Weekdays £15.00 per session. Saturday's: £18.00 per session (including introduction session)
